You don't have to be a rock climber, sky diver, marathon runner, or scholar to live life to the fullest. Living Life means participating in activities that you enjoy and pursuing your passions, whatever they may be. It means never stopping the process of discovery or mastering talents. It means sharing your history and teaching others what you have learned. It is a lifelong pursuit of happiness and growth. We all want to live life to the fullest, no matter how old or how young we are. Assisted Living communities inlcuding us are giving residents the environment and tolls they need to reach their goals. We celebrate the residents who inspire us! Join us for a fun filled week of activities to celebrate this important week in our home September 12th-18th.
Our T-Ball Team
The Woodlands is proud to sponsor and associate with the Licking Heights Youth Association this year. We are the proud sponsor of one of the T-ball teams. T-ballers are 5-6 years old and our team is dressed in red. On the team are Resident Assistant - Kristen's little sister Carly and Director of Marketing - Amanda's son Connar. We traveled to the field to watch a game on June 22nd! Visit our Facebook page for photos from the game and our ice cream sundae buffet with the team!
Mens Club The ladies have their shopping trips, so we want to give the men their share of attention, too! The Men's Club leaders are Dave, Danny and Curt, all team members from our fantastic kitchen! Our first men's trip will take us to Motts Military Museum. This museum is dedicated to preserving the memory of all individuals that served in the United States Military. Each item displayed carries with it a personal story that will help us remember the price paid for freedom. This is going to be a great reminiscing experience! We will offer a Men's Club outing each month.
Next Men's trip planned is to the Wheeling Casino!
Farmers Market Every Friday during the summer season, we will venture out to the Kulhwein Farmers Market. We will be baking cakes and brownies to sell at the market! Yes, our residents will officially be farmers at the market! When we are done selling we iwll have the opportunity to purchase farm raised fresh fruits and vegetables! This activity proves to be a great adventure!
